For all of you who have set some self-improvement lockdown goals, we're here to help! To help you tick the "Learn a new skill" box we're holding an Orienteering course setting and Condes software evening on Monday 13th April from 7:30pm. The first half an hour will be a quick summary of the basics of course setting, with some ideas about what makes a good course, at the various levels of orienteering technical difficulty. For those wanting to take part in the Condes session, you should install the Condes course setting software onto your computer beforehand so you are able to "play" along. Condes can be downloaded from https://condes.net/
PAPO has a license which allows club members to use the latest version of Condes for setting courses for PAPO events. Please contact Jenni Adams by email: firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain the club license information. Note that you can install condes before obtaining this information and enter it later to access the full Condes functionality. You will also need a map file for the area where you will plan your courses - again email Jenni to get a link from which to download a map file.
