Hagley Park 10 Aug 2014 - Results

We had a great turn out for a park event and the sun shone this year (through the biting wind). The feedback was good – our runners generally found the white easy although the part along the drain was ‘exciting’ and added a bit of a challenge to new orienteers. No-one reported any issues with the yellow which was totally different to the white. Our compass trainees all worked hard on bearings and pace-counting. I hope it stands you good stead in the future – don’t forget to check the scale of your maps and adjust your distances to suit.  Apologies for the glitch with missing start or finish times, it makes me realise how much I appreciate sportident.

Big thanks to the volunteers who braved the cold and to Bruce for keeping a careful watch.
