Great views (and hopefully weather) guaranteed, on this well-known club map. Traditionally steep for the longer courses but much less so for the shorter ones. It has long grass and rabbit holes for the unwary (watch your feet off the tracks), with views that are multi-million dollar all the way to the Kaikouras. Truly spectacular.

Allow good time to drive out - it's about 45 mins from town via Sumner.

Everyone welcome, with 6 courses with something to suit everyone, from beginners to experts.

Please be aware that grass is long and could be scratchy, leg covering maybe preferred. It is uneven underfoot, and the undergrowth will partially obstruct your view.

Also at 11am we will observe the  Armistice Day as it is Sunday 11th November.  So we may have the peace and reflection then a cacophony of joyful noise to break the two-minute silence. This remembrance being observed nationwide at 11am, recapturing the newfound peace and hope for the future that the signing of the armistice brought. (bring pots and pans and your whistles for the noisy bit). We thought we should recognise it as we are at Godley Head, even if it was not established as a military base until 1934. If you are out running, we expect you will probably just keep going!

Start/Finish: Godley Head carpark on Summit road, access via Evans Pass Road from Sumner

Start times: 10.30am - 12.30pm (course closure 2.30pm)
