Xmas Sprints. Akaroa

This year, we are extending our Xmas event to be a full weekend of sprints across Banks Peninsula.

Sprint 3: Sunday morning. Akaroa.

After the event, we will have the end of year prizegiving & social at around 1pm. We will be presenting the 2024 trophies for the OY series, most improved orienteers and volunteer awards. There will also be a sausage sizzle as a fundraiser for Juniors travelling to orienteering events.

Travel and Parking

The event arena will be located at the Akaroa School, accessible from Rue Jolie. Parking is in the streets adjacent to the school. There will be public toilets on the way to the
start, around 300m from the event centre.
There will be a 1km walk to the start along a road. Follow the signs, and you must stick to the footpath when there is one available.

Event timetable:

Registration Opens: 10:30am
Chasing Start: 11:00am
Individual Starts: 11:30am to 12:00pm
Course Closure: 12:45pm
Prize Giving: 1:00pm
