Canterbury schools orienteering festival 2023 details
Day 2 format: Find all the controls in order over a longer distance (1-5.5km). Punch the start and finish, and every control in numerical order on your course. Harder courses will have longer legs with more route finding and navigation.
Day 2 terrain: Pine Forest. Easier courses will use tracks through the forest, harder courses will have off-track controls.
Event area: The event will be based at Broadhaven Reserve and will use the surrounding forest.

Cost: $12 per child per day. Includes hire of a Sportident stick/dibber.
Start times: Your start time will be pre-allocated. Start times will be between 10.30am and 12:30pm.
Start location: The start is approximately 1km west from the registration area. Please follow signs from the registration area and make sure you allow enough time to get to the start. We recommend allowing at least 20 minutes.
Coaching opportunity: Training events will be held at different venues at 4pm on weekdays on the 4 weeks leading up to the event.
