A navigational adventure for individuals or teams.

No dogs, not even in vehicles.

The venue is attractive, family-friendly,  hill farmland with river flats, accessed from Hartleys Road near junction of Pig Saddle Road and Waianiwaniwa Roads, Whitecliffs.

From Christchurch, travel west on SH73 to Darfield. Through Darfield immediately turn left into Bangor Road and continue west to Glentunnel. Immediately departing Glentunnel, turn right into Whitecliffs Road and continue to intersection with Hartleys Road. Turn right in to Hartley’s Road (do not cross the Selwyn River) and continue 3km to the event centre. Signposted from Glentunnel.

The foot event will mostly have checkpoints that do NOT duplicate the horse event.
Registration 9:00 am; Start 10:00 am.  (Some late starts up to 10:30 may be accommodated.)
Entry fees (enter on day*): $20 (adult), $10 (junior).
* But email oldhat@actrix.co.nz by 5 March to guarantee your map(s).

Off-road parking, have a picnic afterwards and watch the horse event in the afternoon or saddle up your trusty steed and join in. NB. Equestrian rogaine is pre-entry. See http://www.ecess.org/fundraiser.html
