Night MTBO. McLeans Island.
Mountain bike orienteering at night on the Bottle Lake map starting from Spencer Park. The event will be a 90 minute rogaine.
You can compete individually or together as a group.
Event Safety messages:
All participants must be 14 or older, or in team including at least one person aged 14 or older.
It is compulsory to carry a mobile phone: to call the organisers if you have an accident or can't find your way home. Can also be used as a backup light in the event of flat batteries or light failure.
Entries:
Pre-entries are preferred for all PAPO events.
Entries will open approx 2 weeks prior to the event.
Pre-entries close: Wednesday prior to event date.

Limited enter on the day will be available. Enter on the day will be charged at non-member prices for all entries.
There will be a small number of MTBO map boards available for hire at $5 each, ask at registration.
Courses:
The course will be a 90-minute rogaine. You do not have to stay out for the full 90 minutes.
Remember to bring a watch!.

For families going round the course together or caregivers accompanying their children, only the Juniors need to register & pay, the accompanying adults go free.
All entries to be paid by credit/debit card at time of entry via the entry system (EnterO).
Helpers on the day and PAPO members paying with VIP points can choose the VIP points option when paying.

Travel and Parking
McLeans Island road from SH1 just north of he airport. Follow signs to McLeans Island Recreation Area.
Event timetable:
Registration: 5.30pm
Score/Rogaine course: Starts between 6.00pm and 6.30pm. Maps will be issued as you start (planning time is included in your 90 minutes!). All riders must start by 6.30pm.
Finish time. 90 mins after your start time. Penalty points (20 points per minute) for anyone more than 90 minutes. All points lost for anyone more than 15 minutes late.
Course closure: All finishers should be back by 8:00pm, full course closure at 8:15pm
Electronic Punching:
This event will use Sportident timing with Air mode enabled; all participants must use a SI Air+ stick which allows contactless punching of the control without the need to stop/dismount.
SI Air+ sticks are available for hire for $5.
We will be using our SI Air finish gate at this event, this allows participants to ride across the finish line without the need to punch a finish control.
