Leithfield OY.

A range of orienteering courses available, with something to suit everyone, from beginners to experts. It includes easy courses for those who are new to the sport and would like to give it a go. All welcome! Event suitable for the whole family. 

This event is part of the PAPO OY series, with OY points awarded to PAPO club members.

Pre-entries are preferred for all PAPO events. Member rates will apply to pre-entries.

The standard six OY courses will be available: 

If you are new to orienteering, we recommend entering the White (families and children) or Yellow (adults) course for your first event. If you want more, do an additional course for $2 per map.

Payments:

All entries to be paid by credit/debit card at time of entry via the entry system (EnterO), we no longer accept bank transfers for event entries.
Helpers on the day and PAPO members paying with VIP points can choose the VIP points option when paying.

Travel and Parking

The event centre is beside SH1, and the entry will be through a farmgate off the highway about 1km after you have passed Ashworths Beach Road. However, to avoid a right turn across this busy stretch, we ask that all vehicles continue 1.6km north to the turn-off to Leithfield Beach. Turn right at this junction into Kings Road (Leithfield Beach), and then make a U-turn before heading back south on SH1.

For those approaching from the north, travel 1.6km past the Leithfield Beach junction.

The entry point will be signposted off the highway. Drive in through the farm gate, proceed along the paddock and park in orderly rows next to the helpers' vehicles. 

Event Centre and Starts:
From the parking, it is a 100-150m walk to the event centre.
Yellow and White start: 300m walk. Allow 10 minutes walk from the Event Centre
Orange and Red start: 1km walk. Allow 25 minutes walk from the Event Centre

Event timetable:

Registration: From 10am
Start times: 10.30am – 12.30am.
Course closure: 2.30pm
Electronic Punching: SI Air+ will be turned on for this event, bring your SI Air card if you have one. For those without an SI Air card (and anyone hiring a SI card) punch in the usual manner.
