● If they are undergoing COVID-19 testing, until they have received negative results and are symptom free.

Please do this in the day:

  • Scan with the covid app when you arrive – if you don’t want to run with your phone, create a manual entry on the covid app.
  • Go to the start, keep 2m apart
  • Finish your course and leave (no second courses)
  • Do not hang around and socialise
  • Results will go up online
  • There will be no water on the courses.

Terrain: The Castle Hill Village terrain is a mixture of river terraces and landslip moraine. It is mostly covered with native beech, but includes open tussock and rejuvenating mānuka  as well as some developed urban terrain. Includes numerous small hills and depressions. The bush is mostly runnable and includes a detailed track network, but does have some greener areas. Owing to recent extensive windfall obstructing some tracks, we suggest that young children or less confident white course runners be shadowed by an older person.

Note: Owing to recent extensive windfall obstructing some tracks, we suggest that young children or less confident white course runners be shadowed by an older person. There is quite a lot of clambering over fallen trees required, and this could be quite off-putting for little ones. The white course has been set to avoid the very worst one, but there is some tree fall on almost every track!
