SOW day 4. Bank Peninsula sprints. Le Bons Bay & Akaroa.

Southern O-Week 2021 is being held in the same week that was planned for Oceania 2021.
All events will have the usual six courses offered at club event (white, yellow, orange, red short, red medium, red long).
Something to suit everyone, from beginners to experts. Includes easy courses for those who are new to the sport and would like to give it a go. All welcome! Event suitable for the whole family.

The Le Bons Bay Chapter of the SOW will bring you to a fantastic beach and forest sprint on the morning of day 4. Be prepared for sand to fly as this event will be a fast mass start style sprint around the pine forest and sand dunes which surround the Le Bons Bay domain and back onto the beach. The parking and event centre will be at the Le Bons Bay domain. Bring your togs and a picnic.
Note that there is no camping available in Le Bons Bay for campervans or tents. If you'd like to camp on Banks Peninsula, there is camping available at Okains Bay (https://okainsbaycamp.co.nz/).

Located in the heart of Banks peninsula Akaroa is a seaside town with rich French and Māori heritage this is the scene for the Akaroa sprint event in the afternoon of day 4. The map includes an exploration of the Gardens of Tane the surrounding streets, cemeteries, and the Akaroa area school. The hilly terrain includes paved, gravel, and grass areas so no spiked shoes please. The event centre is at the Akaroa area school and parking can be found on the streets surrounding the school.
