SOW day 3. Middle Distance. Kairaki north of Christchurch.

Southern O-Week 2021 is being held in the same week that was planned for Oceania 2021. 
All events will have the usual six courses offered at club event (white, yellow, orange, red short, red medium, red long). 
Something to suit everyone, from beginners to experts. Includes easy courses for those who are new to the sport and would like to give it a go. All welcome! Event suitable for the whole family.

The Canterbury Middle distance will be held on the stunning coastal sand dune forest of Kairaki and the Pines Beach. The map was completely revised in 2020 and first used for the 2020 South Island champs.

Map description: Coastal sand dune forest

Entries: Entries are now closed

Travel directions: From SH1 north of Christchurch, take third exit after crossing the Waimak (signed Rangiora), turn right and cross motorway, travelling along Smith St. At intersection with Williams St, go straight ahead into Beach Road. Travel to end of road, turn right at the Pines/Kairaki intersection and follow orienteering signage.
Parking: Parking is in the reserve car park at the end of Featherstone Ave and along Featherstone Ave. The parking is adjacent to the event centre and finish.
Start location: Adjacent to parking 
Registration: from 10am.  Registration is only required for competitors picking-up sportident cards for hire.
Start times: 10.30am - 12.30pm
Course closure: 2.30pm
