Sunday 22 Nov updateThe tracks are open this morning. The tracks have been so dry any small amounts of rain should dry out quickly. We will try any see if any branches have come down, but be aware there will be more pine cones around as the wind may have done some damage last night. See you later.

MTBO on the Crocodile XC tracks above Halswell Quarry. Courses will be on single track with significant climb and descent, so experience riding single track in the Port Hills is recommended. MTB Orienteering experience isn’t essential, but it is good to as ask for advice if this is your first time reading an orienteering map.

Note: The event is subject to cancellation if the MTB tracks are closed due to wet weather, so we will all keep an eye on the weather and we will put an update here if this is likely.

Two courses will be offered:
Easy, which is navigationally similar to our normal easy yellow course, and will be on the least steep trails.
A more difficult course in both navigation and MTB ability, which will be a random order course.  All controls must be visited, but the order of visiting controls is the competitor's choice
