Peninsula & Plains Orienteers (PAPO) is the Canterbury Orienteering club. Based in Christchurch with members as far afield as Timaru, Pleasant Point, Geraldine, Rangiora and Hanmer Springs.
The club regularly holds events in and around Christchurch and Canterbury. See Upcoming Events for those events coming up soon or the Calendar for the full program for the year. These range from training and fun events to fully competitive events at the local and national level. The program includes classic orienteering events, MTB orienteering and rogaines. Non-members are always welcome.

The club was founded in 1977 with the first event being held in Hagley Park, a map (updated) that is still used today. Over the years club members have won many national titles and been selected to represent NZ in international competitions. Many members have a long association with the club, with some families now having their 3rd generation joining. See the following links for a fuller history.
